The WZ-10S is an upgraded version of China’s Z-10 attack helicopter, developed by the Changhe Aircraft Industries Corporation. Work on the original Z-10 began in the 1990s under a secret military programme aimed at producing a dedicated attack helicopter. Its first flight took place in 2003, and it entered service with the People’s Liberation Army around 2010.
